Sebastian had hoped one of his favorite places would safer than some of his other favorite places. The Library itself wasn't safe and he'd been trying not to get into any trouble. Everyone had more important things to worry about. Alec had gone off to save the day, so to speak, and they'd barely had any time at all to get to know each other better. And Sebastian was hoping they would. Something....something pulled him to Alec. He couldn't name what the feeling was or what it meant, but he wanted to find out.
Even now, surrounded by soothing water, his heart seemed to beat a little faster simply at the thought of their first meeting. It was a nice distraction from...well, everything else. He closed his eyes and floated, skimming his hands over the surface of the water. He'd started with laps, trying to quiet his mind the way he used to in high school. But then he'd found himself drifting away to places. And people. Jack and then Alec. It was all a bit confusing. As if his heart and mind weren't in the same place. Jack felt so far away. Still loved, still missed, but further away than he should feel.
You would have liked Alec, Jack.
The instant Sebastian felt it he opened his eyes.
And then ceiling above disappeared before he could take a breath.
