Action-Log [Open]---Cleaning up and Organizing
Who: Trunks (Future) and YOU (Open to all.)
What: After dealing with a haunted village and an abyss that feeds on rage, Trunks needs something normal and productive to do. Cleaning and organizing it is!
When:Post-orientation events? (Especially post his)
Where: Main Library--Dorm section
Warnings: Dust? None yet.
After checking in with the Librarians, after his and Sunset's adventure in the book with the butterfly on it and the cursed village and abyss, Trunks needed a distraction. A solo distraction, given the memories and emotions dealt with on their adventure. Wandering in the 'safe' areas but near the main-desk, eventually he found his way to what looked like a dorm section.
This must be where they would all be staying. There were empty name-plates on doors lining a hallway, and looking in one produced what he'd expected. Small rooms with basic furniture, and an attached bathroom. But the furniture was all stacked, and dusty, and linens were folded and left on the bed. Perfect--cleaning and organizing would give him something to do that would be mindless enough, but physically active.
He claimed a room by virtue of leaving his jacket and sword in it, and pulling the furniture down. Chair off the desk, making the bed, and he'd dust his own later. Taking one of the towels, he moved methodically down the hallway. Each room got a thorough dusting, and the beds were made and furniture set right and organized. Not more physically taxing than helping with the shelters he did back home, for those who'd escaped the Androids.
[OOC: Come say hi to a sweaty demi-saiyan doing some house cleaning. Feel free to help him, or not.]

She'd taken a break for the moment, exhausted but pleased, and was walking down the dorm hallway when she spotted someone else working.
/Dai Stiho-/ she greeted at first, then switched to English, "Ah, I mean, hello there. How are you doing?"
He looked dirty, but he also looked like he'd been working hard - and Nita could appreciate that.
no subject
"...hi." Hands at his side, he bowed--very like they did in Japan actually, and after gave a hint of a smile. "I'm better." He really did feel better, not minding the exertions. "I needed something that was kind of mindless but physically active to do, y'know?"
no subject
"Yeah; that, and these rooms are probably going to be useful."
Nita looked behind him, appreciative.
"How long have you been at this?"
She wished she'd found these rooms sooner!

A look back at his work, and Trunks honestly wasn't sure how long he'd been at it at this point. Bucket placed, down, one hand moved to rub the back of his neck, a hint of nerves but also as he tilted his head, a bit of a stretch.
"A few hours? I needed the distraction." Okay, yeah definitely needed the distraction, as Trunks rolled his head a bit, then shrugged to loosen his shoulder-muscles with the break.
"I claimed a room at the far end, but otherwise have just been focusing on getting it all cleaned for everyone else."
no subject
Nita winced sympathetically at the neck crack.
"From the sound of it, you really needed it. Mind if I join in?"
It was slightly competitive of her, but she also figured it'd be good to keep company; odds were they'd be working together on the whole for a while, and getting to know each other would be important.
That, and it seemed unfair to her for him to do all the work.
no subject
"There's...not that much to do really?" Dusting, wiping down, and then making beds and setting up towels. But he wouldn't stop her.
He IS going to take a moment to stretch though, since that had felt good.
no subject
She took a moment to go back and fetch her own towel, before coming back to Trunks.
"And- I don't think we've met before, so: hi, my name's Nita Callahan. What's yours?"

Finding the dorms was easy, he just followed the dust clouds. "*cough* Hey! I don't remember a smog warni*cough* warning for this place." He peered around the corner of the room, spotting purple hair and a young man. The hair was, of course, on the young man.
More odd things to get used to. "Say, fella, need a hand?"
no subject
But the company wasn't bad--the physical activity of cleaning and organizing had helped him shed his antsy-ness after the haunted village. Mindless enough to be relaxing, while not overtaxing. "It's a process. Getting the surface layer out, then wiping it down the rest."
no subject
The room might have still seemed dirty, but Cosmo had seen worse. "Say now, this isn't the Roosevelt you know."
no subject
Taking a guess at what the other man had meant, although as he picked up the bucket and moved in, he had to ask. "Roosevelt?" Wringing out the wet-rag, before starting to wipe down all the surfaces that weren't the mattress.

That is a desk done, and on to the chair. "Maybe we should start with basics..." A Library pulling people from all sorts of places--probably a good idea.

That, and not being able to touch all of the books because some of them were dangerous was like torture.
When he came across Trunks he looked in, saw what he was doing and said, "You must be the cleaner. Do you clean the whole Library?"
no subject
"Excuse me?" An eyebrow is arching up in slight warning, tone mildly affronted. Pausing from his wiping down of a bed frame, rag placed back in the bucket as he stood up from his crouch. He wasn't that tall, but Trunks made up for it by how he held himself. Posture straight and tall, chin tilted slightly in query, but still mostly open and relaxed.

Especially since the follow-up question was clearly harmless. Relaxing from the hint of annoyance, he turned more fully to the other and shrugged a shoulder. "Needed something to do, and it was relaxing."

"I have seen the books, got pulled into one of the really dangerous ones too." He commented, not really trying to refute how frustrating this must be for someone who clearly loved them. He knew this kind of passion--he'd seen it in his mother's eyes when she worked on machines, or was tinkering with some new invention.

Saiyans were originally from a planet that had 10x Earth's Gravity, so tended to have more endurance and stamina. Even with that part of his heritage blocked, as a demi-saiyan, he was used to working hard and going until he dropped.

"Tired of sneaking up on people already, or were you getting into some other kind of trouble?" Definite amusement in his tone, as he moves with the damp cloth and bucket to start wiping down wood and metal.
no subject
"Yes," fufufuf. The latter one mostly. "I heard my friend might be here from one of my hide and go seek, tag, guess-who victims, but he must be on the go. Like I said, he never sleeps much. You seem almost at home with all this though, yeah?" It's a question... sort of. She meant it to be more of a question than it sounds anyway.
no subject
"At home with what, cleaning and adventure?" There's still amusement in his tone, shifting the furniture some so he can continue dusting. Then it's wiped down with a clean rag, and the mattresses go back on.
