Action-Log [Open]---Cleaning up and Organizing
Who: Trunks (Future) and YOU (Open to all.)
What: After dealing with a haunted village and an abyss that feeds on rage, Trunks needs something normal and productive to do. Cleaning and organizing it is!
When:Post-orientation events? (Especially post his)
Where: Main Library--Dorm section
Warnings: Dust? None yet.
After checking in with the Librarians, after his and Sunset's adventure in the book with the butterfly on it and the cursed village and abyss, Trunks needed a distraction. A solo distraction, given the memories and emotions dealt with on their adventure. Wandering in the 'safe' areas but near the main-desk, eventually he found his way to what looked like a dorm section.
This must be where they would all be staying. There were empty name-plates on doors lining a hallway, and looking in one produced what he'd expected. Small rooms with basic furniture, and an attached bathroom. But the furniture was all stacked, and dusty, and linens were folded and left on the bed. Perfect--cleaning and organizing would give him something to do that would be mindless enough, but physically active.
He claimed a room by virtue of leaving his jacket and sword in it, and pulling the furniture down. Chair off the desk, making the bed, and he'd dust his own later. Taking one of the towels, he moved methodically down the hallway. Each room got a thorough dusting, and the beds were made and furniture set right and organized. Not more physically taxing than helping with the shelters he did back home, for those who'd escaped the Androids.
[OOC: Come say hi to a sweaty demi-saiyan doing some house cleaning. Feel free to help him, or not.]

"I was still in that alternate past, when I was brought here. The second time. We might've found a way, even if the Androids I know still exist there. We also have everyone alive, and people are stronger." His father was stronger. That had to count for something.

Rose nodded her head and tried to knuckle his shoulders a little more to ebb out the tension, but it was like knuckling a wall, jeez. At a better time, she'd have to ask him what his workout regime was. She'd taken to doing running and gymnastics to keep in shape for her job, but that was definitely something else.
"Even just one person being alive changes the universe," she insisted quietly. "I know, because I made a paradox once. Endangered the whole universe. My friend was livid. It used to be his job to prevent that kind of thing, and he's the only one left that can. Well, and he thought I was just usin' him for it but--" she shook her head and bit her lip again, "Trust me, yeah? One person can make all the difference. Lots of people? And you're virtually unbeatable."
no subject
Turning slightly, then a deliberate shift away even if he's still sitting on the mattress. Not used to being touched, clearly. He might also be blushing just a bit--just a tiny bit. "Part of how we had to get out of the book though, involved her having to channel emotions from us both. She got some of my memories while doing so."
no subject
As for Sunset, she blinked. Well that explained a bit more. "Ah..." she sucked on one of her fingers, and went back to the chair. "She mentioned that it was Japanese occult rituals. Sounded pretty cool, but I'm guessin' it wasn't?"
Oh no, big tough guy being so cute. It's her total weakness. Worse than Jack and the blue-eyes Doctor, really.
no subject
There's a blink, and then a completely serious and deadpan. "We weren't going to do the rituals in the book, to appease the Abyss we found. It feeds on anger and pain and rage right?" There's a brief laugh, not entirely nice, and a hint of smirk. "I have a lot of that."
no subject
Rose's eyes widened a lot at first, but at his laugh, she grinned softly, and chuckled right back. "I think I get why it shook up Sunset a bit then." Empaths. Never easy.
"But you're okay now?" she tilted her head a little worried. "Did you manage to seal the abyss or whatever?"
no subject
And he should really get back to that, so back to his feet and the wiping down of the dresser it is. "We didn't--it's not our place. But we gave it a huge case of indigestion. I'm just glad I didn't break her hand, since she had to hold mine to channel. I did bring some medicine out from the book though, and she said it was fine since then."
no subject
"'m glad you're okay," she added genuinely. "My mission seems really easy now. We were just in board games. Checkers and Mousetrap. Lots o' runnin' and jumpin' but that's been the story of my life for years now."
no subject
Frown on his face, and he took a deep breath to relax again. Really, he was alright. Better anyways, than he had been. Dresser done, and he was nudging it back into position. Step back, rolling his head slightly to ease some tension, and then looking at her. "Other than tired, you alright?"
THIS ONE is after Trance but b4 Doctor yes. I CAN ORGANIZE RIGHT?
"Yeah, I'm all right! I got some good news, that my friend is here, like I said, so I'm excited. But tired," she winked, and knuckled his shoulders a little harder, aiming for releasing some of the tension from specific points. "Don't work too hard, okay cutie? Even superheroes gotta sleep sometimes."
That'll work.
That harder knuckling gets a little bit of give, and the teasing gets a full out obvious blush. Definitely ducking his head there, moving to grab the bucket and rag in nerves. "I'm not a superhero, believe me."
no subject
"Ah gotcha. My Mum was a bit like that too early on. When she'd lost my Dad." She rubbed the bridge between her eyes. She loved Pete, her Dad that never was, but then he was suddenly... but seriously going from twenty years of not having a father, to suddenly having one, and your Mom marrying him and having another child was a headache. She was happy for her, and loved Tony, loved Peter too, but it was still complicated.
"No? Sounds like it to me~!" she teased, sticking out her tongue to the side cheerfully. "Wait so... you brought people back to the new future, yeah? Does that include your Da'?" Because now she's crazy curious. Especially given the paradox, and then her own situation with Peter Tyler.
no subject
Well, okay--looks like someone else was getting the story too. Putting the bucket back down, and turning. Nudging her back over to the chair. "I didn't. I couldn't bring people to the new future. I altered the past, so as near as I can guess...maybe there's two roads now where there were one. A split happened, since my past--their future--didn't change."
Gonna go back to sitting on the mattress, manner serious again.

"Secondly, remember when I talked about Frieza, coming to Earth with his father for revenge? That was about 22-23ish years before I was born." It got a bit hazy, with the time-travel.
no subject
She nodded her head, following along easily enough and made a note to herself mentally to tell him about her OWN father situation when she could. If not tonight, the certainly later.
no subject
"So, in the original time-line--Goku dealt with Frieza and King Cold. Then 6 months later, he dies of some kind of sickness of the heart." A pause, his eyes showing he was remembering stories, as well as his own experience. "2.5 years after that, the Androids appeared. I'd been born the year before. These two...they were stronger than any opponent that had appeared before right? Artificial humans, and they took out the strongest martial artists on the planet easily. Piccolo--that's the Namekian, my father, Krillin, all of them. Goku's son Gohan survived--although I don't know if it's because he fought and ran when he was outclassed, or just didn't fight in the first place."
No judgement there, as Trunks understood very well--and still mourned his master. Gohan had saved his life, and been like a brother.
no subject
The grin dropped as she listened even more solemnly, eyes following along dark and sympathetically. "So Gohan was the only altered survivor?" Still, one person can change all of human history, she knows that... far too well.
no subject
A sigh, and Trunks was taking another deep breath. A slight shift of his posture, calling on inner discipline to keep himself calm even as he shared painful memories. "When I was 14, I managed to get in touch with him, and to mother's frustration--even though she knew she couldn't stop us--Gohan started to train me properly. I'd learned some stuff myself--it's in my blood, if nothing else. He had managed to achieve the state of power, in terms of level, that Goku had. I kept trying to achieve it myself--I believed if we had that level, we could fight back and beat the androids."
no subject
"Your Dad was a fighter then?" Since he said it was in his blood. "Mine was a crazy inventor. He believed in trying anything, being willing to sacrifice himself for others, so long as it was doing something, no matter how crazy. 'S how he died even when I made a paradox trying to make him survive." She quietly bit a finger. "Power level?"
no subject
Kind of glad he'd opened-up to Rose now, even if he hadn't planned on it.
"Power-levels...right." Trying to think of how to explain. "Let me back up some. Remember those aliens I told you I was familiar with? and ki-manipulation?" She needed some information, before he could continue. Part of him wanted to wince--as she was probably going to tease him about being a superhero again too.
no subject
She nodded her head about the ki and aliens. "So like a psychic fighting kung-fu alien thing?"
no subject
Good job Rose, he's grinning again and actually relaxed. Or maybe it's he's finally getting tired. Who knows?
"Well, ki-manipulation is actually something anyone can learn, provided they have the right training. Pure human martial artists can do it, although it's really rare for them to do much more than basically have an idea of how to 'sense' someone, or use it to boost their endurance and stamina. Basically think of 'ki' as being your entirely body/mind/soul being in balance and focused. Namekians just are more adept at it, and can use it to do other things--like energy blasts, or flying, in addition to sensing someone's presence as well as their rough level of ability."
no subject
As for anyone being able to do ki manipulation... "Wot, really?" She tilted her head. She knew TimeLords were far more advanced with psychic energies, and the TARDIS used to offer her some protection, and Torchwood trained everyone in rudimentary psychic levels but even just being able to tell someone else's capacity.... "Yeah? Can you sense mine?" Another head tilt.
