1st Period--Arriving.
Ok, maybe he had taken one too many hockey pucks to the head. Casey groaned as he sat up slowly, wondering what had knocked him out this time. Brown eyes widened behind the skull-hockey mask as he took in the main hall. "Aw man...Is this the nightmare where my teacher's been replaced by a Kraang and is making us write essays again?" Clearly a teenager's voice, as he gets to his feet.
At least he was in his vigilante gear and ready to fight if it came to it. Still, this place almost reminded him of the sewer tunnels around the lair, except for all the books. Donnie'd love it. Turning in a wide circle to take it all in, before spotting the main reception desk.
Alright--libraries weren't his favorite places to go, but he had been in them. Occasionally. When forced to, or lose his spot on the team. Moving over to the desk, keeping his mask down for now. "Excuse me!" Not bothering to keep his voice down either, as he looked for anyone who might provide him answers.

"The books, the Library, everything contained here is very important." Including the people. Like Alec and Magnus. "Recently we-the others saved several characters from very important stories."
no subject
"You're sure this isn't some kind of dream?"
no subject
"I could throw a book at your head instead." He offered. Except that wasn't a good idea either. The Cat had warned him to be careful.
But just to show the guy a little compassion Sebastian took a step forward again.
"I thought this was a dream, too."
no subject
Moving over to the main desk and hoisting himself up to sit, not bothered by the gear at his back. "Tell me it's usually more exciting then this?"
Hell, why bring HIM here? Donnie'd LOVE it, it'd be right up his alley. Leo, Splinter, April--any of them'd be perfect for helping save some books and a library. On the other hand, if they weren't here...and he was chosen for this...
Huh, now that was a nice thought, considering he'd missed out on fighting the Kraang. Left out like a chump, even if he'd showed them what he was capable of in discovering the foot were working on a mind control serum.
"Got a question for ya. You haven't seen any giant talking turtles around here, wearing colored masks? What about a giant rat who's a martial arts master?"
no subject
"We have a talking Cat, a demon hunter who may or may not be retired, and a witch. I haven't met the others properly so I can't say for sure."
no subject
Casey Jones was brought to save a giant libary.
He'd have to think of how to make that sound cooler. It could wait for now. For now he had more questions, and then he had some exploring to do.
"Why haven't you met the others? And what do you mean you saved characters from other stories?" Yep, no trouble accepting all this.
no subject
Now who was sounding like they hadn't taken their medication before bed?
"It's...The Cat is better with explaining all of this. You simply agree to help and live here with everyone. We're helping to restore the Library, too."
no subject
Nope--this was definitely a new adventure, and Casey Jones was up for the challenge.
"Guess I'll have to find the cat then." Sounding a bit resigned, but at least he was trying to be less grating. "Anything else I should know?"
no subject
Sebastian couldn't think of anything else important at the moment without having to go into details and he wasn't sure he was the right person. But he could think of a few questions he wanted to ask.
"Should I continue calling you Mr. Whatever or do you have a name?"
no subject
Holding out his hand, clearly proud of himself.
no subject
Vigilante made the outfit make more sense.
"Sebastian." He couldn't think of anything to add. Cellist seemed a bit boring in comparison.
no subject
It matched what Sebastian had seen of the other so far.
"Guessing this is all kind of new to you." Not that it wasn't new to Casey, but he was feeling like he had a definite edge up. He was used to the hero-gig.
no subject
"It's...different." He smiled, just a little, and looked around at the books. This was something good in some ways that he had needed. "I'm guessing this isn't new to you."
Casey Jones accepted things so easily it seemed.
no subject
"So how're we supposed to save this place? Is it always rescuing escaped story-characters?"
no subject
Excuse the book nerd getting too excited about books. Sebastian seemed to catch himself and quickly redirected himself back to the more important question.
"Rescue seems to be part of it. Rebuilding and repairing, cleaning and organizing."
The Cat was definitely better with explaining the details.
"You would probably be really good with rescue."
no subject
no subject
Not that he's assuming the birds are coming out just for him. Others may see them, too. He just hasn't asked anyone about it yet.
Sebastian caught himself again.
"This is why it's so important to help protect and rebuild the library."
no subject
Also as long as it wasn't rats. Casey was...better; a few too many encounters with said furry rodents, both normal sized and giant, were a great 'help' to his phobia. But he still didn't like 'em at the best of times.
"You mentioned others. How many are there? Is there like a base camp or lair?"
no subject
The 'lair' question received a slightly more confused look. It was a library, not a battle field.
"No. We have rooms and beds. I'm not sure how many others there are here. I've only met a few others."
no subject
What was the reception like, and did he have his cell on him still anyways? That was a good question, as he patted at his pocket and in the pouches on his holster. He'd gotten service inside a giant space-worm's stomach, so why not a huge magic library?
no subject
He missed his music. So very much.
"But Alec said we could visit places where we can shop for clothes so I suppose you could charge them there."
Something that he only now realized. He couldn't wait to share his idea with Alec.
no subject
Poking at his communicator anyways, trying to get through to April, or Donnie. Mostly because Donnie'd be so jealous of where Casey was. Definitely no signal, even if he could pull up the screens.
no subject
Sebastian was a little distracted the thing Casey was holding. It looked like a small turtle.
"Is that your phone?"
no subject
"So how do I find the cat?"
