The Enchantment
Once upon a time an enchantment crept through the Library, winding through the stacks and slipping amongst the shelves. Those that were touched by this classical magic might find themselves seeing things that they had thought were impossible or finding themselves bursting into song. Some may find themselves wishing for love or adventure, perhaps even both. While others find themselves acting as vagabond or prince.
With the enchantment came a menagerie of flora and fauna, but not to worry. Gardens bloom with fanciful flowers and the darker aisles begin to resemble a forest instead of the more mundane shelves. Strange birds break up the Library's hush and mice scurry from shelf to table, whispering of lost Princesses. These woodland creatures are not to be feared... unless someone has stumbled into the more Grimm areas of the Fiction section. Although the spell is only beginning, the patrons touched by its magic may act strangely or find themselves slightly - or more than slightly - changed by the enchantment.
Remember that this is only be beginning of our Tale. Other wonders and mysteries will soon appear...

He lightly touched the soft long hair curiously. "I could help you braid your lovely hair if you like?" For an elf that rarely braided hair, he certainly had the sudden drive to do just that.

"And what, may I ask, is your interest in my hair?"
Well, besides the obvious fact that it was insanely long at this point. Long enough to reach the ground below, she suspected.

If only to help, he wished to do just that. And as if to make that claim all the more authentic, little birds flit out into view and sang softly to the both of them. Honestly, he should be bothered when a few squirrels climb him like a tree to perch on his shoulders. Instead... he did something worse. He giggled.

Tauriel eyed him suspiciously. Strange things were at work here. Very strange.
"Oh... very well... come up."

Once at the top, a squirrel made it to the top of his head and chittered at Tauriel happily from its spot. "I am Elrohir, son of Elrond. May I ask your name, mellon nin?" At least he still knew how to introduce himself... he felt so very out of sorts lately.

"Tauriel." She introduced herself, pushing her hair back to give him more room to enter. "Tell me, Elrohir, son of Elrond, do you always travel in such... company?" She indicated the squirrel on his head, and arched an eyebrow curiously. What a strange thing!
