Welcoming Family and Friends

As you wander around the Library you may see some unexpected but welcome changes. The main rooms are decorated with pumpkins and fall leaves. Globes of warm, sparkling lights illuminate the stacks, floating cheerfully with no visible means for them to be held aloft. The air smells of warm spices and apples or whatever will remind patrons of home and hearth. The rooms that are hospitable have become bright, cheerful places meant to drive away the shadows that had lingered after weeks spent in nightmares and unpleasant dreams.

The patrons will also notice some new faces among the patrons and books. A family member from your old world that you have been wishing to see. A friend, a teammate, a lost love... Someone new that you might wish to strike up a conversation with...

The Librarians have sent out another request for potential patrons and opened the Portals so that these beings might see the Library and decide if they wish to help with the patrons duties. The new arrivals may decide to remain in the Library and become fellow patrons. They may also stay only for a short time to celebrate the fall holidays and to help our patrons remember why their work is so important. Whichever decision is made, the Library and its patrons will welcome those who enter.

((Note: The first part of the November Event will be a test drive to help bring in potential cast members. As with all events, no one is required to participate but points will be awarded to patrons who welcome new arrivals. New arrivals participating in the event will have a simplified application process. See the post in the ooc community.)
