Save us. The words echo in his ears as he regains awareness. Saving people is Emma's job. She even saved the Lost Boys when none of them thought they needed saving. Is that who's appealing to anyone who's listening now? The curse is sending everyone back to where they came from. What does that mean for the Lost Boys? Can he save them now?

He opens his eyes to look around him. This is definitely not right. It's not the Enchanted Forest, which is where the curse was supposed to send him. It sent him here alone, too. None of the others are here. Did something go wrong with it? This looks like a library. It could be Storybrooke's library, but the town was supposed to be erased by the curse being removed.

So just where is he?

He sits up slowly, looking around him. He doesn't even see anyone else here.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" His words echo around him in the open space.

"I remember a curse." Which might sound strange in most places, but he's just been told that this is a magical library with portals in it. Not out of the realm of possibility from what he knows. "There was something else too." It's fuzzy though.

"Just a curse? What kind of curse?" Casey's seen some pretty strange and wiggy stuff. Curse isn't out of the realm of possibility for him--especially given where they are now.

"A dark one." What other kind of curse would there be, really? He just doesn't want to explain the whole thing right now. "We were all supposed to be sent back to where we came from, but I ended up here instead."

"You don't remember any voices do you?" Ok, that might be prompting a bit--but it would help. Casey honestly couldn't imagine a dark curse sending someone here with good intentions. And if it was supposed to send this guy back where he'd come from, and he came here--then maybe he was an escapee from one of the books?

"Just before I woke up, yeah." He doesn't know yet where they came from, but he remembers hearing them. "Something about needing to be saved."

Casey relaxed a bit then, as that meant more than likely the guy was actually invited and not a book resident. Although come to think of it, given the nature of the Library... Maybe they were all ultimately book residents?

That thought made his head hurt, and he shook it mildly. Too complicated, too egg-heady, and too annoying. Donnie'd love puzzling it out, but Casey had no time for it.

"Then you were definitely 'invited' here. Like I was, and a few others. We were all brought here to help try and save this place."

He is a book resident, sort of, although he doesn't exist because of the book. The book exists because of his world and its residents.

"Save it from what?"

Casey shrugged. "Things escaping from books, things escaping into other books. I've only been here a month or two, so I'm still learning. Things that threaten the books themselves." Especially since they were more than books, they were worlds, other realms...special.

"So, what, books coming to life?" Wasn't there a movie about that? Or something like it, at least. Maybe even more than one. "I can see how that could be a problem."

"Dunno if they're coming to life, or just the things in them coming to life." Casey'd only been here for a month or two, and the ghosts? Well, Libraries were spooky places anyways, so that might not have been the books.

"Honestly, one of the Librarians could explain it better."

"I guess I'll have to find one of them then." Which he should probably do anyway, just so they know he's here.

"I haven't met the Head one yet, although I think I saw him back when were dealing with all the ghosts. It was a weird time." And not a good kind of fun-weird. October had not been a good month, in the Library. "One of 'em though is a normal housecat, black, but he talks." Said as if this was entirely normal as well.

"I'll keep an eye out for a talking cat then." So he can get some questions answered, and he won't be surprised when a cat talks to him.

"Ghosts, huh?"

"Ghosts." Casey replied, arms crossed and ready in case the other didn't believe him. Maybe just slightly ready for the other to not believe him. Heck, Casey might not have believed it if he hadn't been involved, and if he also hadn't had the strange life he did.

"Don't hear about ghosts every day." He's not saying he doesn't believe it. He's not saying he does, either. He wonders if there might be ghosts here again. He can think of a person or two he wouldn't mind seeing again.
