Hunting a thief (Valentine's Event) [Open to anyone]
Who: Amaterasu (
dog_of_the_sun) and YOU
What: Amaterasu is helping with retrieving Cupid's bow and arrows. Basically a country in trouble, and needs intervention? Why does that sound familiar...
Where: Ancient Greece
When: Valentine's Day
Warnings: Cuteness? Also, Ammy has been blessed by Aphrodite—she will be unaffected by any spells of love or hate. She'll also be mistaken for a very large white dog, to anyone but the Library-residents. (No one else can see her markings or reflector.)
The only difference Ammy felt so far, besides the obvious of climate and culture, was that cities were a lot more crowded. She drew a few stares, but Amaterasu was used to that. If it got too bad, she'd find another Library-resident and get them to act as her 'handler'. It was hard though, as while she knew ultimately the best thing would be to get the Quiver of Arrows and Bow—there was so much chaos. So many people who needed help.
[Basically I'm open for prompts. Ammy's pretty resourceful, and she IS a goddess. She's also been favored by Aphrodite for this mission.]

Nita has not been blessed. What should we throw at them?
Nita nodded at Amaterasu, letting recognition of a now-familiar face settle her nerves.
/Hey, there,/ she whispered, walking up to and then kneeling by the white wolf.
/I've only just got here. How about you?/

"難しいです、私が援助したいと思っている人がたくさんいます。" Making sure Nita had seen it, was able to translate, before Ammy moved to obscure the marks. Walking and then rolling over on her back for a good stretch too.
[It is difficult, there are so many who I wish I could aid.]

/I know that feeling. It sucks./

私が働いている間、私の「所有者」として行動しますか?
She didn't have enough space to write a lot, but hopefully Nita would understand. Amaterasu would get more done if it seemed like she 'belonged' to someone, as a large white dog. She is certain to make sure Nita reads it, before she moves to stretch her front paws out and get to her feet, erasing her marks.
[Act as my 'owner' while I work?]

Then she got back up, stretching, and fell into the pretending that Amaterasu had asked for.
/Time to go to work, then!/

Out loud, she said, /Maybe this way?/, then added more quietly,
/If we find an arrow, maybe the thief's smell will be on it?/

How's this?
It wouldn't take long to stumble across the chaos - a shadow, a barely noticeable gust of air in an arrow's wake, and suddenly two close friends were at each others' throats. The reactions of the crowd simply grew outwards from the madness.
Re: How's this?
Galestorm, wherein a gust of strong wind suddenly blew from East to West. Swirling around the two friends in particular, but also the other crowd. Especially as Ammy sprinted to place herself between the two, to help 'trip' them up.

The crowd's panic shifted, and the two impeded friends let go of each other. The wind didn't affect what the arrow had done, but they couldn't hold each other as tightly for the moment.
/Nice one!/ Nita whispered, heading for the man that still had the arrow sticking out of him.

He stepped out in Ammy's path and said, "You don't fit in."

Amaterasu blinked, then sat very gracefully for all she wore a canine-form. Tilting her head slightly, raising her muzzle, as dark eyes watched him. Attempting to ask him a question in turn. 'Why did he say that? Was he also from the Library?'

Her tail twitches, the tip of it black as if dipped in ink like a brush. Scratches appear on the dirt, recognizable at first as ancient Japanese. Then a second later, Flynn would see them translate to whatever language he understood best, even though the marks remained scratched on the ground.
私は天照です。
I am Amaterasu.

"Amaterasu!" His eyes widened. "Japanese Goddess of the Sun. You're not like I expected. Although I don't know what I expected." He leaned over to get a closer look at her solar disc. "Although I didn't expect to meet an actual Goddess. How amazing is this!" He was just a bit excited about it.

Inclining her head and shoulders, it is a bow as graceful as if she were human. Again her tail-tip twitches and there is writing scratched into the dirt. Again it is followed shortly after by the characters fading into a language he'd understand.
会えてうれしいです。 お名前は何ですか?
It is nice to meet you. What is your name?

Flynnさんにお会いできてうれしいです。 私は図書館の援助を求められたのでここにいる。
It is nice to meet you Flynn-san. I am here because I was asked to aid the Library.
Please forgive her for not recognizing western naming conventions.

"Of course you were." That had been a stupid question, but he really hadn't been thinking. "Now we have to find Cupid. Judging by the trail of destruction he went that way." He pointed off to the side, where arguments had broken out between the residents.

Oh well.
Time to slink over and try to look like she 'belonged' to Flynn so a large white wolf-dog wouldn't stand out AS much. Hopefully.

A glimmer of the light hitting something on top of one of the buildings was all the warning he got, before he was shot. Not expecting it, the arrow hit Flynn in the leg.
He grimaced. "I never thought Cupid's arrows hurt so much."
