He doesn't even realise that he's pricked his hands, as he picks up the arrows, habitually checking the points for sharpness. The emotional surge catches him by surprise, but it's gone too swiftly to really register.

Where's his brother? It's not good for his brother to go too far~

Really, so many arrows being discarded. He is truly being careful with how he gathers them and rolls them up in cloth each time. Did not the one called Cupid not warn them of these? Either way, he left nothing to chance as he collected them to put them away later.

Carrying the bundle with him, he moved back to his brother with a brilliant smile. "Did you get the one over here? We should pack them away carefully just in case. We do not wish to be..." He paused and canted his head to the side. "Muindor... is something troubling you?"

There's a strange light in Elladan's eyes, but he smiles for his brother, stepping in close and leaning against him, no different to normal.

"I did yes. And I know we should be careful! I worry more about you, my brother - I couldn't bear it if anything happened to you."

[elrohir_elrondion]

Elrohir picks up... something. Something is not quite right, but he seemed not different than any other time. So he decidedly brushes it aside as he reached out and rested a hand upon the other's side. "You need not worry so. I have been very careful and have bundled the arrows so they will not pierce anyone."

Smiling at that, he showed his brother the bundle then started to turn to keep looking around. "What did you do with the arrow over here?"

"Here." Elladan hands it over. "I think you've done better than me at collecting them! You've sharp eyes as ever."

He grins, and tugs Elrohir along to keep looking.

"I know you're careful - I just worry, that's all!"

As he is drug along, he is trying to carefully wrap up the last arrow. Strange, it is not as bright and glowing gold as the other ones. Should they not all look the same? Shaking his head, he's just about to tie up the bundle when Elladan said he was worried.

Not that they do not always worry for the other's well being. But this seemed more like when they were very young and his brother was certain Elrohir would sooner curl up with a book than fight with a sword.

Well. He seemed happy? Perhaps he was reading too much into it. "Shall we keep tracking the path to collect them?"

"Sure! But don't wander too far from me." Elladan smiles back at him, and does not release his hand.

Angling his head a bit, he gave Elladan a curious look. Where they tended not to wander too far regardless, being told that seemed strange somehow. Still, he squeezed his hand softly and smiled at his twin. "I would never, muindor nin. Do not worry so."

With that he tugged him gently to move along the trail they had picked up of dropped arrows.

"I always worry." Elladan says lightly, and sticks close. All goes well, until Elrohir says a hello to someone as they pass.

A flash of something in his eyes, and Elladan pulls them both away, rudely and dismissive.

"You shouldn't speak to them."

The answer gave him no cause for worry as he moved along. He did not even pay much attention to the way Elladan held to him at first. That is, till he paused to say hello to a passerby and tried to query about seeing any arrows strewn about.

Only, he did not receive that answer as his brother drew him away. Both brows rose in worry as he turned to look at his twin. "What is wrong with speaking with them? If they have seen anything they would be of much help in getting our task done sooner."

"I don't like the way they looked at you." Elladan says darkly, a fell light flickering in his eyes.

"You can't trust them, 'Roh."

[elrohir_elrondion]

"How did they look at me, my dear brother?" Both brows rose slowly. It seemed so strange that Elladan would be this upset about how strangers looked upon him. "Even if they cannot be trusted, it is not that I am trusting them. More trying to see how which way to travel."

Tugging at his shirt sleeve, he smiled a little. "Other wise we shall be wandering aimlessly. Would you prefer that over possible direction?"

"They shouldn't be looking at you at all." Elladan grumbles. "And more importantly, you shouldn't be looking at them."

He doesn't return the smile, reaching to close a hand over Elrohir's.

"We don't need them. I'm fine with just you.
