Action-Log [Open]---Cleaning up and Organizing

Who: Trunks (Future) and YOU (Open to all.)
What: After dealing with a haunted village and an abyss that feeds on rage, Trunks needs something normal and productive to do. Cleaning and organizing it is!

After checking in with the Librarians, after his and Sunset's adventure in the book with the butterfly on it and the cursed village and abyss, Trunks needed a distraction. A solo distraction, given the memories and emotions dealt with on their adventure. Wandering in the 'safe' areas but near the main-desk, eventually he found his way to what looked like a dorm section.

This must be where they would all be staying. There were empty name-plates on doors lining a hallway, and looking in one produced what he'd expected. Small rooms with basic furniture, and an attached bathroom. But the furniture was all stacked, and dusty, and linens were folded and left on the bed. Perfect--cleaning and organizing would give him something to do that would be mindless enough, but physically active.

He claimed a room by virtue of leaving his jacket and sword in it, and pulling the furniture down. Chair off the desk, making the bed, and he'd dust his own later. Taking one of the towels, he moved methodically down the hallway. Each room got a thorough dusting, and the beds were made and furniture set right and organized. Not more physically taxing than helping with the shelters he did back home, for those who'd escaped the Androids.

Someone who had never heard of New York was definitely from a different world. "So what's West City like? How big is it? How is Sector 28 different from the other sectors?" This was an excellent opportunity to learn about another world and never let it be said that Flynn Carsen didn't take these opportunities when they arose.

"Well, my Earth pretty much has just two main continents, with a giant lake that's kind of like a mini-ocean in the East. Otherwise the smaller continent is an island slightly to the North West up top. There are also smaller island chains." Really, at this point Trunks was probably going to start trying to draw maps, and writing this stuff down. A talking-points presentation or something.

"It's divided into 43 sectors, ruled by a constitutional monarchy." There's a sigh though, and Trunks reaches up to rub the back of his neck. "My version of it however, has 2 beings running around terrorizing the populace, destroying cities, and killing people if they get in their way, all for their own amusement. They've been at it for the last 17 years. West City was one of the major metropolises and the Western Capitol. It's a wreck now, as it was one of the first places hit by the Androids."

Flynn was visualising the geography and wishing there were pens and paper in here to draw a map. "There should be maps and information on all of our homes in case they're in any books."

He didn't look terribly surprised to hear about the being terrorizing everyone. After all, he'd read a lot of books and seen a lot of things. But his mind was already working on the problem. "Seventeen years and no one's caught them? Are they real, live Androids? If they destroy everything, what's left for them to do, destroy each other?"

"Seventeen years, and no one can even really give them much of a challenge anymore." Except him. "When I was 14, my Master fought back against them--I think he prevented it from being worse up until then...but he and I were the only ones."

As for why? Oh Trunks could speculate easily enough as he scowls. "They haven't, because they find it all to be a game. As long as they're amused...things stay more peaceful. Those of us left have started learning how to hide, and have small resistance movements. But we're surviving." Don't mind the bitterness and hints of anger; it's well-earned

For Bulma, and for Trunks--mere survival was not enough. They would do their best to make sure the people of Earth thrived again if they could.

Flynn was intrigued about the Android problem. He wanted to solve it - that was what problems were all about. But he realized that if no one else could solve it in seventeen years, he wasn't going to be able to do it in a few minutes. Probably.

"If I ever get to your world, I'll help," he promised. "I've had lots of experience of beings trying to destroy things."

Well, the thought was appreciated--and having someone else to help wouldn't be a bad thing. Even if he wasn't certain just how much help the older man might or might not be. Still... "Thank you. I've had more experience than I'd like in dealing with them."

Because it was polite, but also it was appreciated. The sympathy and recognition of it. Flynn clearly meant well too.

"My point though, is that this isn't a normal Library, even if it looks like a Library. All of us brought here, we're more likely than not from all kinds of different places. Think of the 'books' more as being a shape we're comfy with."

"Of course it's not a normal library." Flynn's tone was a bit condescending. That it wasn't a normal library was obvious to him. In some ways it was even odder than the Library.

He stood back up, so he could pace around a little. "Are there any ordinary books in here at all?"

Yeah, thanks so much for that condescension there. Just gonna ignore that. "You're the one who talked about how we just have to 'organize the books'." Or maybe not, but Trunks has already had a not-so-good experience with at least one of those books.

"I think so, but I haven't checked yet."

"Then we should check. There must be something here that will tell us something of what's inside the books. I'm going to find a Librarian. Native to this Library," he added frowning a little, because suddenly Librarian was a much more complicated job title that it previously had been.
