Action-Log [Open]---Cleaning up and Organizing
Who: Trunks (Future) and YOU (Open to all.)
What: After dealing with a haunted village and an abyss that feeds on rage, Trunks needs something normal and productive to do. Cleaning and organizing it is!
When:Post-orientation events? (Especially post his)
Where: Main Library--Dorm section
Warnings: Dust? None yet.
After checking in with the Librarians, after his and Sunset's adventure in the book with the butterfly on it and the cursed village and abyss, Trunks needed a distraction. A solo distraction, given the memories and emotions dealt with on their adventure. Wandering in the 'safe' areas but near the main-desk, eventually he found his way to what looked like a dorm section.
This must be where they would all be staying. There were empty name-plates on doors lining a hallway, and looking in one produced what he'd expected. Small rooms with basic furniture, and an attached bathroom. But the furniture was all stacked, and dusty, and linens were folded and left on the bed. Perfect--cleaning and organizing would give him something to do that would be mindless enough, but physically active.
He claimed a room by virtue of leaving his jacket and sword in it, and pulling the furniture down. Chair off the desk, making the bed, and he'd dust his own later. Taking one of the towels, he moved methodically down the hallway. Each room got a thorough dusting, and the beds were made and furniture set right and organized. Not more physically taxing than helping with the shelters he did back home, for those who'd escaped the Androids.
[OOC: Come say hi to a sweaty demi-saiyan doing some house cleaning. Feel free to help him, or not.]

The white case had a logo on it, and it's a safe bet Cosmo'd never heard of Capsule Corp. Same logo on Trunk's jacket, but that was in another room. Opening it, Trunks pulled out a small tube-like thing. "This is a capsule, for example. My mother's company invented this technology, which allows for easy storage and transport of various objects." The capsule it self was labeled clearly 2031.
Trunks pressed the button on the top, and tossed the capsule to a clear spot on the floor. There was a faint cloud of smoke, a 'hoi poi' sound, and then a small, highly modern, fridge.. Getting up, Trunks moved to kneel in front, opening the door and Cosmo could see various canned beverages. Soda, juice, beer.
"What would you like to drink?" Trunks might just be amused by how casual he is about this, but how it's probably surprising to Cosmo.

"Gee, you have any aspirin? This is giving my brain a work out." People from space and magic capsules. "A bourbon. Make it a double." He stared at the white case and then back at the purple haired teen, "On second that make it a triple."

"Okay, I'll bite. How the heck do you open this thing?"

Trunks is used to taking things seriously, especially if they don't look like potential-threats. With Cosmo, he'll probably have to learn when the man is joking versus not. "From talking with some of the others, I'm coming to realize that while I'm from Earth, and there might be some cultural things that are the same--I'm from a different Earth than a lot of people here." Not just a different time, sadly.

He was wondering about that, it didn't make any sense but at least he was getting some sort of explanation for it all. "So there's all sorts of different Earths around. You're from one where beer comes in tin cans, and I'm stuck with nothing. That's pretty fair." He looks Trunks over, "

A slow blink, and the smile turned sad. "It's also home to Capsule Corporation, which is responsible for most of the modern advances and conveniences on the planet. Cutting edge science and technological innovations--not least of which the capsule technology, like you just saw." A nod of his head over to the fridge.

"IT's crazy...say, would I sound insane if I asked you what year you came from?"
I think I have my dates right....
Re: I think I have my dates right....
No that doesn't sound right." He rubbed the back of his head, "See, I'm from nineteen twenty-eight and I know we don't have anything near this stuff." He gestures to the capsules and even the can in his hand. There's always the possibility that time was screwy in other worlds too.
"Wait. You traveled through time?"

"Anything can happen. That's one thing I've learned from Hollywood."

Another deep breath in, and out, and Trunks brings up his soda. Taking a sip, before venturing a question. "This, is going to sound really stupid. What's Hollywood?"
no subject
"Hollywood is a town in my world. One of the most famous cities in my country. Mostly because a lot of famous celebrities, you know movie stars, dancers, singers those sorts. They all head there to try and make a name for themselves in pictures."

Because question and answer time was go.
