Rose coughed and nodded, "He sounds a bit like my Mum... to be honest," she winced. "Well, except that my Mum's not an alien, and can't control her ki, but ya... I definitely can see why you'd keep that to yerself, as it were.
"Mind if I ask what you used for a device? My friend has... the best spaceship in the universe, but it looks like a big blue wooden box, from the 1950s," she giggled. "Normally I can't tell anyone that but..." she reached under the top of her shirt, and pulled out the key, still leaving it on its chain around her neck. "This is my key. The only way to get back home." She gave him a wistful lopsided grin, holding it out so he could touch it. Her treasure. "We locked the dimension cannon onto it so I wouldn't just be drifting endlessly through the void, and sort of like -- a vortex manipulator, that time agents way in the future of my universe used." She tucked the key back under her shirt, probably accidentally flashing Trunks in the process, and leaned back. "Jack was a Time Agent when he got his," she held up her wrist and gestured with holding a hand around it. "He wore it like a bracelet, and you can punch in the coordinates and years, but it's really difficult to use well." The Doctor could, but the Doctor was good with teleports. And time travel. And a TimeLord, not human. And still dumb enough to get himself drowned in the Thames.
"You didn't like... touch yourself and caused a paradox, didja? That's what accidentally killed my friend. My Mum was bein' dumb, so I was handed my baby self, and--" Rose snapped her fingers, "Reaper got in, and the Doctor saved us by letting himself get eaten instead of the others. Bought me more time with my Dad, but I'm sure I wouldn't 'ave chosen it. Not a fair trade, that."
