"There's always at least one left, to keep darkness from taking everything," she said softly with a reminiscent smile. In her universe, all the universes she had seen, when one major group of protectors arose, or guardians of some kind, they managed to stay around in some way, even after nearly getting stamped out. It was sorta like hope in that way.
"Well, I didn't really grow up," Trance said obtusely, with that smile taking a playful shyness about it instead. "My kind were always in space, but were created and given ways to foster some kind of life. People, animals, plants... I don't know if it would count as farming, but taking care of these stages were always natural to us. It had to be, as we were left among ourselves instead of there being any formal teaching."
After pulling a good bunch of the ready carrots, the blonde gathered them in her arms to be moved over to a hand cart. "I must say though, you're pretty amazing. To rebuild everything on your own. That type of fortitude-"
The rest of her sentence wouldn't come out, however. It was an instant and oddly clean as the arrow pierced one side of Trance's throat, continued smoothly through the soft tissue, cartilage and arteries, and continued its trajectory on the other side. It landed into the recently turned over soil as the carrots were dropped with the body. Nothing splattered around though, so it's good to know that the blood censorship is active in the options. Though perhaps it wasn't the time for jokes?
This is also the signal for the Doctors to jump back in when they're ready (after your reply)
