He nods as he takes the tool. "That does sound similar to back home. Although most of the cases I've learned about seem to be natural adaptation. We call those species 'near humans' usually. They still look very human, but have their own adaptations for their worlds.

He chuckled. "I guess it is, sometimes. Depends on the situation." He watched her technique and replicated it.

"It's really kind of complicated." he replied. "THe galaxy had an order called the Jedi...it was dedicated to protecting it...we're warriors sometimes, but negotiating and finding non-violent solutions is part of it as well. Back before I was born, the old Order was destroyed...only a token few remained. And by the time I started to figure out who and what I really was, I was the only one left to rebuild. To find as many beings as I could who had potential and teach them the Jedi way." he explained.

He was reluctant to go into full detail with someone he'd just met, naturally. Force-sensitivity and the abilities that came with it tended to frighten some or provoke dislike, and although she seemed pretty nice, he wasn't going to reveal too much just yet.

"You seem to know some about this...did you do some farming growing up?" he asked, curious.
