"Kinda sounds like ours, a little bit. It was the New Republic for a time after the war...now it's the Galactic Alliance." he replied. He would have been curious had she mentioned the civil war...things sometimes turned out so similar in different places.

She said some more about the moisture farming, and Luke replied "You know, no one's really sure...there is one story about humans originating on my homeworld, but then there's also another story about them coming from another planet first. I guess between it all being so long ago and things not always being written down, it's hard to tell."

He nodded. "Yeah, I thought so too. It's probably not that different from some places I've been...I'll manage all right. Do you think you'll be okay going through this?" he asked.
