Luke did pick up on a little of Trance's reaction to his name, even though she didn't actually say it, but didn't think much about it. Of course, it wasn't really an uncommon name in his part of the universe, but he supposed it was different to her.
Her next words had him curious. The only Commonwealth he was aware of was the Separatist group from before the Galactic Civil War. "What's the commonwealth?" he asked. "That definitely doesn't sound good...the people of this planet stripped all of their own resources?"
It was usually governments like the Empire stripping planets, but it wasn't unheard of for a planet's own inhabitants to destroy it. The Hutts came to mind...he really hoped the people here weren't anything like them.
He nodded in agreement at her warning. "That's a good thing to remember...somehow I get the feeling medicine might be hard to come by around here." He was resilient to injury, and could always use a healing trance if worse came to worse, but even Jedi weren't immune to getting sick at times.
Luke realized she must not have heard all of his previous comment, and shook his head. "We didn't grow things, actually...nothing much can grow on my homeworld. We farmed water, I suppose you could say. Moisture farming to collect what we could from the atmosphere. That's why I said this would be very different...that type of farming mostly means keeping the machines working and keeping pests and invaders away."
