Event 1 - New Friends for the Holidays

The Main Reception area was filled with the sound of barking and meowing. Occasionally there was a crash followed by a long suffering sigh from the Non-Fiction Librarian. The Cat stalked along the edge of the desk, trilling occasionally to keep the animals from being too energetic with the precious books and to keep them from wandering too far from where the patrons might find them. Each one would eventually choose the patron best suited to his or her personality. They would find homes where they would be welcomed and cared for. Until then, the Cat would wait at his post, keeping an eye on their guests until everyone who wanted a companion had found the one meant for them.

Isabelle, (closed to Alec, Jace, and Sebastian)

Isabelle had just arrived in this strange place and suddenly was faced with Church, which was not a wholly unwelcome site, given what she had been feeling as of late. She had gotten to the desk too late, and Chairman Meow was already gone. This did not make Isabelle happy, because now she didn't know how to find Alec or Jace.

She couldn't handle the crowds so she found a secluded spot on the outside of the fray, sitting down looking around trying to figure out her next move.

"Isabelle Lightwood?" Sebastian approached the girl a little hesitantly. He hadn't had a chance to meet Alec's sister and, to be honest, he'd been a little nervous about doing so until this moment.

He wasn't holding Church the way he had held Chairman Meow. But Church had been agreeable to following him when he'd explained he could take him to his family.

"I'm Sebastian."

Isabelle looked up, her eyes narrowing that is until she noticed Church. "Church!" She exclaimed, as she kneeled on the floor.

"Have we met? Are you a demon?"

As Alec entered the main reception room, he scanned the area, spotting Izzy, Sebastian, and Church almost immediately. Remembering how she had reacted to him, he mentally cringed at what reaction a 'mundie boy' would get from Isabelle. Especially one that might be seen as a catnapper.

Moving quickly through the crowd, he caught the comment about a demon. Dodging a group of puppies that saw the leather of his pants as a potential chew toy, he managed to get to Sebastian before the conversation went too far.

For a moment, he considered what option would be best then decided between two extremes. Taking Sebastian's hand, Alec smiled at Izzy. "Hi, Iz. Sebastian's not a demon. He's a friend of mine." He used the emphasis on the word that he'd used the first time he'd stumbled through his explanation that he 'liked liked' Magnus and they were kind of dating. "Please don't hurt him."

Sebastian opened his mouth to explain he was not a demon and that he was a friend of Alec's. But then Alec was there and holding his hand and he was asking Isabelle not to hurt Sebastian. For a moment all he could do was stare at them both and blush like a foo

"I'm not dangerous." Sebastian said finally, hiding slightly behind Alec's arm and shoulder, uncertain what else he could say.

"Stating the obvious doesn't win you points." Jace commented, joining the group after having been assaulted by dogs. He crouched down to pet Church, but his gaze was on Izzy. "What is the last thing you remember?"
