She gave a firm shake and a single nod to him. "Good to know we're from the same year at least. I think I've been here about a month, give or take. I tend to have a hard time judging time anymore." She said with a chuckle and nod to the portal.

"Don't worry. Saving something important makes you a bad ass in general. Come on. Let's get back to something a bit more civilized." She said and started to back up... not letting go of his hand. Instead she tugged him forward to make him follow. Mostly, she didn't want him left behind.
