So when he surfaced from that horrible sight, it felt like coming up out from under the surface of water. Like he had to swim to the top just to catch his breath. But once he started to feel like the world might just come into focus, he realized why he forced himself awake. Elladan.
His head turns to the sight of his brother curling in on himself on his makeshift bed. Rising to his feet, he moves shakily at first across the small space and slips onto Elladan's bed to wrap his arms around him from behind. If he shared in that dream, he knew the scars on his brother's heart were much deeper in a lot of ways. Pressing his face into the elder's shoulder, he hugged him close.
