"Oh I was a terror in the kitchens." She laughed at the memory of it. "Everything I touched seemed to burn. As a child, when I first came to Thranduil's halls I was assigned to work there, and I cannot tell you the number of minor fires I caused. I was quite ill-suited to the task, and was more useful in the gardens. When I joined the guard, I think the cook was more pleased than anyone, she threw a party even. Her pots were finally safe."

She continued through the stalls, looking for plants and pots, but still continuing the conversation. That was more enjoyable than shopping.
