"Oh, how fortunate you weren't lost in the sand." His tone was flat, however, with little emotion. He wouldn't exactly have mourned the governor's disappearance. But his attention was diverted, moving his gaze from Tarkin to his strange man.

He didn't respond at first, assuming that this person had overheard them talking to each other to catch their names. There was something more here, something he couldn't quite put his finger on and he took a moment to look Mairon over carefully.
Tarkin may be a fool but Krennic assumed that the other man could pick up on that as well.
