Bucky was not looking for a pet. He's pretty sure he has no idea how to take care of one anyhow (well, he could as he would need too, but that is beside the point). He's not an animal person, is he? Maybe he once was, but he's not sure. Memories are coming back but it's all kind of slow. Situations make them come back faster, but he has yet to see himself with any form of pet.

So why he is bothering to check in on what is going on? Who knows. Creatures, animals of all kinds, looking for homes? This isn't the place for him, yet here he is, wandering around a bit, looking at dogs and cats. He wasn't cruel or anything, and pet them as he passed them or not.

So yes, here was someone, not at all interested, at the moment, looking around at the mess the place is. A mess of fluff and critters. There were even things he didn't recognize. Interesting.

For a brief moment... he wondered if Steve was going to take in a dog. For some reason he felt like he was a dog type. that made the old Assassin snort, like it was a ridiculous idea.

You can catch the metal armed man crouched down before a dog or something, or walking around with a cat in hand just because it climbed up his leg. He's easy to put it down again though. He's not going to keep any of them, he says.
